Our special guest tutor Anissa Ljanta returns to show you three commonly found medicinal plants and their uses. She’ll guide you through how to safely soothe common health complaints using the plants around and show you how to gather and store medicinal plants. Anissa will also demonstrate how to make medicines … teas, decoctions, poultices and tinctures. This three hour course takes place at Kaipatiki Project Environment Centre 17 Lauderdale Road, Birkdale. The cost includes a copy of the Plant Medicine Handbook to take home and a delicious home-made morning tea. Places are very limited so booking is essential. Anissa Ljanta is a mama, writer, blogger, activist, craftswoman, dynamic workshop facilitator and traditional herbalist. She ran an organic retreat and market garden in the French Pyrenean mountains and is passionate about plants, connected parenting, natural foods, the GrowMama blog, living with integrity and finding magic in the mundane. She is passionate about sharing the knowledge we need to live full and healthy lives and looks forward to sharing it with you. http://kaipatiki.org.nz/courses/nana-technologies-pantry-power/
